This post is the part of a weekly blogpost series updating you on what’s going on at OpenCorporates this week. Want to help us get more data? Claim a mission!
Data the OpenCorporates team is scraping…. from the Data team (Peter & Shyam)
Shyam worked on business licenses for Washington, Chicago, South Carolina, Arkansas, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Iowa, Alaska, Illinois, Louisiana, New York City, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
We also launched the v0.4 of our API thanks to Chris and Lukas which brings more features than ever before!
Bots submitted by community members…. from Peter Evans.
This week, Peter Evans and Hera continued investigating company networks to prepare for next week’s #FlashHacks which will be a have a ‘map a corporate network’ strand.
Peter accepted a bot he did for the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority as well as one for the National Insurance Commission, Nigeria – both were pushed in pretty much their final state which is a credit to dinotash. There are several more which we’re working to get finished.
Do you want to join the fun and claim an Open Data mission? Here’s what Peter suggests.
MEDIUM : Write a bot for Finance Licences (securities) – Israel Securities Authority (isa)’
MEDIUM : Write a bot for Finance Licences (securities) – Securities And Exchange Commission (thailand)’
HARD : Write a bot for financial licenses (banking) for Sudan (still unclaimed!)
The next #FlashHacks is…
Tweet of the Week

Have already reached the point of the year where we produce more eggs than we can eat (80+ per day). Blossom on cherry trees.
- And the OpenCorporates team discusses TV:
