OpenCorporates is blowing into Chicago for this years’ NICAR conference! We’re very excited to be joining an incredible line up of leading data reporters from across the globe sharing knowledge, tools and resources for data driven investigations.
OpenCorporates is an essential tool in any journalists toolkit, enabling simple and powerful searches of over 138 million companies across a similarly large number of jurisdictions. We live in a corporate world where money and power flow across the globe through complex networks across, so if the adage that information is the currency of democracy holds true, it’s a vital that global company data is made available as high quality, open data.
I’ll be taking our investigators workshop on the road, which is packed with tips for getting the most out of the database, and examples of the groundbreaking investigations OpenCorporates has helped to uncover.
